About this Tool Kit

The National Medical Association (NMA) has expanded its education and outreach efforts through its Asthma and Allergy Rescue Project to reduce asthma disparities by enhancing the delivery of quality asthma care in African American communities. This Tool Kit attempts to spread important asthma management messages to health care providers who actively treat asthmatic patients.

The contents of this Tool Kit will introduce you to evidenced based educational materials available from the NMA, NHLBI, NACI, and other reputable sources on asthma management. All asthmatics are encouraged to share any learned information about asthma management, control methods and important tests with their primary care doctor.
